Ami du chêne
J'ai mélangé ce que le client souhaitait spécifiquement (ce client est un chirurgien arboricole) avec mes propres observations de chênes âgés d'environ 100 ans, et j'ai créé une représentation vivante d'un chêne prospère pendant les mois de printemps et d'été. Parmi les branches, l'ombre de l'esprit de l'arbre se profile à l'horizon. Je voulais donner à mon arbre une véritable envergure, j'ai donc imprimé une tranche d'espace profond au-dessus de lui, inspirée des estampes classiques Ukiyo-e. J'ai senti que cette puissante bande d'obscurité mystérieuse devait être équilibrée par un paysage brumeux qui complète très bien cet arbre solitaire.

Oak Friend
I blended what the client specifically wanted (this client is a tree surgeon), with my own observations of oaks that were roughly 100 years old, and created a lively rendition of a thriving oak during its Spring/Summer months. Amongst the branches is the shadowy spirit of the tree peering out. I wanted to give my tree a truly large scope of being, so I printed a slice of deep space above it, this is inspired by classic Ukiyo-e prints. I felt this powerful band of mysterious darkness needed to be balanced out, with a misty landscape which compliments this lone tree very well.
